The pharmaceutical industry is growing – why not grow with it into a new career as a Pharmacy Technician? With Allied’s Pharmacy Technician Program, you are prepared to join the field with a knowledge of pharmacy concepts, procedures and calculations. Work with licensed pharmacists in hospitals, community pharmacies, outpatient clinics, nursing homes or pharmaceutical organizations.
With this program, you will also gain knowledge of the essentials of medical history, pharmacy settings, drug regulation and administration, terminology, formulating and calculating prescriptions, elements of patient interaction and more. Your education will prepare you to count and measure medication, manage inventories and complete pharmaceutical dosage forms – as an essential part of a pharmacy team.
Upon successful completion of your Pharmacy Technician program, you can sit for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam to earn your Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential. Plus, once you pass the PTCB exam, you can enter Allied’s Pharmacy Technician externship program* and obtain real, hands-on experience.
